ACA Event Calendar
The Automotive Composites Alliance conducts several Special Events throughout the year that promote composites, network with stakeholders, and educate users on composites technology advancements. These events strengthen relationships between the composites manufacturer and material supplier with the OEM. Below is a summary of ACA Special Events.

Industry Preview Day - North American International Auto Show
In conjunction with the North American International Auto Show, an annual January event in Detroit, MI, the ACMA's Automotive Composites Alliance hosts an exclusive exhibit and reception for OEM customers at the Sheraton Detroit Riverside in downtown Detroit. OEM customers meet composites manufacturers and material suppliers to discuss advancements and innovation in automotive composites. Participants are also educated on future technologies that could impact automotive composites production. Invited guests are escorted to the auto show before it is open to the public. This event is only for ACA members and their invited guests/customers.

ACA Golf Outing with OEMs
The Automotive Composites Alliance (ACA) in conjunction with the Society of Plastic Engineers (SPE) Detroit Chapter will co-host their annual Golf Outing for all members and their guests. . The tournament is a friendly competition with a scramble format allowing all to enjoy the golf and networking. The tournament day begins with a luncheon before heading out onto the course and enjoying a beautiful and challenging course. The day ends with a networking dinner and awards banquet with prizes for the top Low Gross and Low Net teams and door prizes for everyone. ACA members and non-members of the ACA/ACMA are encouraged to participate in this annual event.

SPE Automotive Composites Conference and Exposition (ACCE)
ACA actively participates with papers, presentations, panel sessions and extensive exhibit boots at this annual event. Event attendees are representatives from OEMs that come to learn about composites and exchange ideas with stakeholders in the composites industry. ACA is a sponsor of this event that includes an exhibit booth promoting composites in automotive applications and its member companies. In addition, ACA organizes the development of technical tracks on the use of thermoset composites products used in the automotive market. ACA members are given a unique platform to promote expertise and knowledge to potential customers. Exclusive to ACA members are exhibitor discounts for company displays.

Onsite Composites Tutorials
New for 2008, the ACA is conducting onsite composites seminars and workshops which is an exclusive member benefit to introduce OEM engineers, designers, and marketing representatives on composites technology and products produced by member companies for the automotive industry. Attendees will learn how to reduce the cost of a vehicle while achieving improved performance, processability, and lighter weight through the appropriate use of thermoset composites. This seminar presents the most up-to-date information for those involved material decisions. Who Should Attend? Anyone involved in materials specification, materials purchasing, manufacturing, paint processing, or program management.
